Religion in Bangladesh

Bangladesh is religiously diverse, although Muslims form the largest group at 91.08 percent of the population. Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, and smaller Shiite, Ahmadi, Sufi, Baha'i, and Indigenous communities also shape religious life. The Constitution protects religious practice, while laws, public order, and regional security conditions affect practical access to worship, education, and religious institutions.
