Disasters in Bolivia

Bolivia manages disasters through Gestión de Riesgos, a national framework covering prevention, preparedness, warnings, emergency response and recovery. Floods, landslides, droughts, frost, hail, storms, wildfires and earthquakes create different risks across the country. Local governments and their risk-management units coordinate warnings, evacuation, rescue and assistance, while national support becomes available when local capacity is exceeded.
