Bolivia has statutory and private insurance systems. Seguro Social de Corto Plazo (SSCP) covers illness, maternity and occupational risks for formal employees through an Ente Gestor de Salud. Employers contribute 10% of Total Ganado for this coverage. The employer registers the company and employees, and the responsible health institution handles affiliation and benefits. The Autoridad de Supervisión de la Seguridad Social de Corto Plazo (ASUSS) provides technical supervision and can order affiliation after a simple complaint. For example, CNS affiliation can require forms AVC-04 or AVC-05, a birth certificate, identity card, wage evidence and a pre-occupational examination or the applicable Bs100 payment. Employer changes should be reported within at least five days, and a CNS withdrawal uses AVC-07.
