Professions in Botswana

Professions in Botswana range from agriculture, trade and crafts to medicine, law, education, engineering and information technology. The Botswana Standard Classification of Occupations (BOSCO) divides them into nine major groups, including professional occupations, technical work, service and sales work, and elementary occupations. For many professions, employers determine the requirements; professional occupations often additionally require registration, an examination or a professional licence.
