The course of vocational education and training in Georgia is not the same for every program. Formal VET programs often use modules, credits, and clearly defined learning outcomes. Learning outcomes describe what learners should know and be able to do in practice by the end of a program. Learning may take place at colleges, community colleges, schools, higher education institutions, or other institutions. Practical learning may occur in workshops, simulated work environments, internships, or companies. Work-based learning covers real or simulated work situations and may also include dual elements. Dual learning is one possible format, but it is not the standard for every program. Assessment and examinations are based on the program standard, its modules, and the required competencies. Rights and obligations depend on the learner's status, the provider, and the practical training location. Costs may include fees, materials, transport, or special equipment and vary by program. Important aspects of everyday learning include the program type, the provider's authorization status, practical content, assessment, support services, costs, and the intended qualification.
