The National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR) allows signatures to be certified in person as part of a filing, for example at a Public Service Hall. The person signing must appear in person and present a suitable identity document. The founders’ agreement, articles of association, or another declaration to be certified should be in its final version. Names, personal numbers, or document numbers must match those on the identity document and in the registry application. The person signs the document before the authorized office or confirms there a signature already made, in accordance with the prescribed procedure. If there are multiple founders, the identity and signature of each signatory must be duly certified separately. Subsequent changes to a certified document may require the amended version to be signed or certified again. In-person certification is distinct from notarization and a qualified electronic signature. It is particularly suitable when all required signatories can appear in person in Georgia.
