Romantic relationship in Montenegro

People usually begin and manage romantic relationships in Montenegro through private contacts, social networks and informal dating. No nationwide access rule, official dating fee or standard dating procedure has been identified. Montenegro also has no central state service equivalent to a national dating or couple-counselling institution. The 2023 MONSTAT census for people aged 15 and over recorded 52.72% as married, 32.67% as never married, 4.54% as divorced, 9.55% as widowed and 3.25% as living in a vanbračna zajednica.
