School in Nepal

Nepal has a formal, federally decentralized school system covering early childhood preparation, basic education and secondary education. Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED), also called pre-primary education (PPE), usually lasts one year before Grade 1; Basic education covers Grades 1–8, and Secondary education covers Grades 9–12. Community schools, private Institutional Schools and formally recognized religious schools operate within national standards, while fees, languages and daily services vary by school and local level.
