San Marino uses disoccupati in senso stretto for people immediately available for work and disoccupati totali for this group together with other jobseekers. The main register is the Liste di Avviamento al Lavoro, with a separate Lista Speciale for specified cases. Access generally covers Sammarinese citizens and people effectively resident in the Republic who are old enough to work under the compulsory-schooling rules. A person must not be employed, self-employed, hold a business licence or receive a pension, although regulations provide exceptions. The Ufficio per il Lavoro e le Politiche Attive–Centro di Formazione Professionale, abbreviated ULPA-CFP, manages registration-related services, job matching, career guidance, job-search support, profiling and training or retraining.
