Language in Serbia

Serbian, or srpski jezik, is the main language used in public life, education, media, family communication, and daily work in Serbia. It belongs to the South Slavic language group. Serbian uses both the Cyrillic and Latin alphabets. Cyrillic has a strong cultural and official presence, while Latin writing is also very common in signs, messages, business, and digital communication.
