Consumer problems often begin with a direct complaint to the seller. Online and informal purchases may create extra difficulties because the seller, payment, delivery, and warranty can be hard to prove. Consumers should be especially careful with advance payments, unclear sellers, missing invoices, and requests for sensitive personal information. A court claim may be appropriate when direct resolution and administrative or association support do not solve the issue. The correct route depends on the product, value, contract, evidence, and type of harm, so organized records are important.
