Nature in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe's nature includes mountains, forests, savannas, rivers, wetlands, wildlife and natural resources managed through several public institutions. Protected landscapes cover about 5 million hectares, or roughly 13% of the country's land, with wildlife conservation and community-based management forming major parts of the system. Access, fishing, forest use, development projects and wildlife trade are subject to different permits, safety rules and environmental controls.
