Languages in Bolivia

Language learning in Bolivia includes Spanish (Castellano), indigenous languages, and foreign languages. The Constitution recognizes Castellano and 36 indigenous languages as 37 official languages; which additional language is used depends on the area and the need. Learning pathways range from state schools and courses offered by IPELC or an Institute of Language and Culture to universities, private providers, communities, and digital offerings.
