Before changing the name with NAPR, check whether the new company name is available and whether it could conflict with other names. The company body responsible for the matter must validly approve the change; depending on the content of the incorporation documents, the articles of association or incorporation agreement may also need to be amended. Once the change is registered, the extract from the register will show the new name, while the company's legal identity generally remains unchanged. The name must then be updated with the bank and in its customer records, with the Revenue Service, in permits, licences, contracts and invoices, on the website, and in business templates. Domains, trademark details and other intellectual property rights should also be checked to determine whether they need to be updated. Contracting parties should be informed of the new name so that the old and new versions can be clearly linked to the same company. The standard fee for amending a company's registered data is generally 200 GEL for processing within one business day and 400 GEL for processing on the day of submission. For an individual entrepreneur, the standard fees are generally 26 GEL for processing within one business day and 75 GEL for processing on the day of submission.
