Religion in Uzbekistan

Islam is the largest religious tradition in Uzbekistan, and most Muslim communities follow Sunni traditions. Religious life may include prayer, fasting, charity, mosque attendance, family customs, and remembrance of important holidays. Uzbekistan also has communities connected with Orthodox Christianity, other Christian traditions, Judaism, and smaller faith groups.
